Patient Information

NHS

Leamington Spa Orthodontics Ltd currently holds a NHS Specialist Orthodontics contract, to provide treatment to patients under the age of 18 years and under 19 years in full time education, who would benefit from Specialist led orthodontic treatment.

Your General Dentist should evaluate and discuss your treatment need with you and if you would like to go ahead your General Dentist should refer you to us clearly identifying the reasons for the referral.

On receipt of your referral it will be entered into our Referral Management  process. Please be aware there may be a wait between the receipt of referral and the first appointment. If you have any concerns that we have not been able to answer on our FAQ page please contact your General Dental Practioner who may answer any further questions you have.

We will notify you when we receive the referral.

At your first appointment we will:

  • Discuss the current NHS criteria for treatment
  • Discuss with you what you like and don't like about your smile
  • Discuss the aims and limitations and risks and benefits of orthodontic treatment
  • Complete a full case assessment of your teeth - how they function, their health and how they appear. This may include any necessary radiographs, impressions for study models and photographs.
  • Discuss all of the treatment options suitable for you, including anticipated treatment timescales and appliances available.
  • Devise and agree an appropriate personalised treatment plan, which we will provide to you in writing.

PRIVATE

You are never too old to have the smile you have always wanted

Private treatment is available for both adults, and children who are not eligible for NHS funding. We offer flexible payment options to help you meet the investment costs of the treatment.

Patients undergoing Private treatment have a greater choice of appliances, such as clear or tooth coloured brackets which are less visible than standard appliances.

You will receive the same exceptional standard of care and treatment as those patients undergoing NHS treatment and you will have increased flexibility of appointment times and treatment systems available to you.

Private appointments can be made by you or on referral from your General Dentist.

At your first appointment we will:
